Experimenting with flavor profiles

spiced up pasta dish The pasta that I cooked was in medium size pot to then be on the stove for about 7 or 8 minutes until it is fully cooked all the way through.  The above picture shows the peppers after they were taken off the stove. It should taste really good in terms of what else I put into the pasta. It's the bacon that I put into the dish when it was all done. This was just meant to go on to the top of the pasta dish to add a little bit of a twist to the pasta dish. After all the prepping that I did to make this dish it actually ended up turning out really good. This is the finished product above.  1. Reflect on your flavor/taste combinations. What worked well? What didn’t work together? I tried to put apples and onions together in my dish. I was really surprised at how good it actually tasted. I thought that when I used the rosemary and the tomatoes together they pair really well together in terms of taste. I didn't particularly think that the peppers didn...

Kitchen mixtures

Whipping cream I added all the ingredients into a bowl. The picture above shows the description of what the whipping cream looked like before I began to stir all the ingredients together. It also shows what went into the process of making the whipping cream.  The picture is showing the process of all the ingredients getting mixed together. If you look closer at the picture it is showing that there are bubbles that are slowly dissipating.  The picture that is above is showing the finished product. The whipping cream has no bubbles in this picture. It also shows the order of how the different ingredients that are all mixed together.  1. How does my product taste? It has a sweet flavor to the whipping cream. There is a smooth texture to the cream that is mixed into the bowl. The whipping cream has very silky also smooth when tasted it when I finished it.   2. what type of kitchen mixture did you form? I formed sugar and cream together to then form whipping c...

Campbells tomato soup

Campbell tomato soup  Why might I have chosen this product? The main reason I chose this product is that it's really good with a grilled cheese sandwich from the perspective of wanting to get a different variety of food in the mix. I grew up having tomato soup for a weekend meal, especially during the cold months.  what is something I don't understand about the nutrition label? The one key thing that I don't quite follow on the label is the amount of protein it has in the soup per serving. It seems a little low for the service quality.   Ingredients   Fats  Carbohydrates   proteins   additives/ vitamins  flour   x        water      x    citric acid        x ...
